Commercial radio conglomerates, like Clear Channel, already own about 35% of the nation's radio stations, therefore controlling much of the information that people hear (including political opinions). Independent radio stations like WUEV 91.5 provide a different side to these commercial stations: a source of new music (non-Top 40), more music and less commercials, and cover local news topics for its listeners.

Selling WUEV 91.5 to the highest bidder will not increase anything for the University of Evansville. If anything, it will decrease overall student morale, community interaction, and, most importantly, alumni support.

I for one, promise that if the university sells the radio station, I will NEVER give a single dime to this institution. I will also encourage my fellow alumni to do the same.

Please keep the radio station independent.
