| Carol Clutter Gormley WUEV is more than a radio station,it is a great public relations tool. If my father had not been president of the board of directors TWICE,I am not sure how much I would have connected with the university if not for the radio station.He loved teh extras the university could offer. He introduced me to WUEV and I have been a loyal listener since moving to Evansville as I am a jazz lover and it is not available elsewhere. I even won a contest to name an afternoon jazz program way back when!! While listening I became aware of some of the positive aspects of a UE education and both daughters eventually attended. One was a soccer player so it was really great being able to listen to some of the away games we could not attend. Parents living long distances remarked on the ability to get the games on the computer via WUEV. It helps make UE a part of the community and I am tired of constantly hearing the value of having USI when UE is such a hidden treasure! This is one of it's gems. Carol Clutter Gormley |
