Our two votes still go for NOT selling WUEV.

WUEV has opened our ears to so much good jazz by new and old artists – music we would not have been otherwise exposed to. Just this afternoon, we heard something we both thought was something new, only to find out that it was a piece from the year 2000 by a composer and trumpet player we were not aware of. It led to an evening spent researching him -- an educational process instigated by an educational station. The students running the station are good and getting better; they know their music, particularly jazz.

Jazz is one of the few art forms invented in this country, is enjoying a resurgence and Evansville should be a part of it. We need EUV to help educate the people in this community. Sell the station and that educational opportunity is lost, and unlikely to ever be picked up by a commercial operator.

Incidentally, we have been jazz lovers for over 60 years, and we find it so exciting to see the young people picking it up again and helping it to grow.
