Please cast two votes for NOT selling UEV - it is not just our favorite radio station, it's the only one we listen to in Evansville.

We are not UE alums and our children did not attend UE, but we feel a close attachment to the university because of your radio station. We are members of the jazz lovers minority and know from many contacts outside of Evansville that we are unique in having access to the great music that UEV provides. My wife calls 479-2020 frequently to find out what is being played and just to chat with the disc jockeys. Much of what is being played is new and our first exposure to a just released CD by a well known entertainer, or sometimes to a new player we're not familiar with. In the last couple of years the station has really developed, with a great crop of DJ's who obviously are getting a good education in jazz at UE and are benefiting greatly from their experience at the station.

We travel to St. Louis and Louisville on a regular basis to hear live jazz, but it is UEV that sustains us between trips. Please don't take that away from us, or from those who aren't able to travel to get their "fix".
