SPELLING...hahahahahaha (Poser!!!!) 13 Feb 15:53 EST

LOL....boy, wish i had all the time to nit pick spelling. HAHA, and I do support the station. Who cares about honors, all i care about is that station. Maybe my emotions got the best of me, but I care deeply about that station. So i apologize, but that post angered me. lets move forward. and by the way, i graduated from college too, doesn't mean i'm a great typer!

RE: SPELLING...hahahahahaha (Somewhat Insider) 14 Feb 08:14 EST

Thank you Mr. Priest. You are correct in my mistake about “grammar”, and you are doubly correct that this board needs to be a forum to support WUEV.

And my apologies to “not SaveWUEV staff”, I too was angered by your post.

I was just surprised that a contributor to a forum that was criticizing the University Administration for censorship and misinformation would turn around and state “Don't comment on this board unless you have any support for our Station!” Discussion boards are just that, places where things can be discussed. It has to be an open forum for dissenting opinions, or there would be nothing to discuss.

Passion for our beliefs is what defines society, what we have to be careful of is to make sure that passion does not drive us to act in a reactionary and irresponsible manner

Thank you.

I'm sure we all welcome dissenting opinions. However, it has been determined that the poster who stated that said this was a place for supporters only did so under fraudulent pretenses, so I wouldn't take anything that was written by him or her too seriously.

I would love to hear logical arguments as to why WUEV is not worth saving. Especially from the administrators who were behind the recent push to accept the unsolicited offer.

Well Mr. Priest, my intention was not to piss off u or anyone else. And i am a indivdual who helped Tom and Yourself get into the media attention, though i may not directly run this website...everyone is in the staff to SAVEWUEV, so there was nothing fraduelent about what i said. Thanks for being so positive sir!!

Well, then why don't you use your real name as Tom and I do? (For the record, I intially posted under the moniker "WUEV Alum.") As far as I can tell, there is only one member of the Save WUEV "staff": Nathanial Walizer.

The only person that helped me "get into the media attention" is myself. The only media attention I've garnered from this is from the University Crescent. The only reason I was contacted by the University Crescent is because I cc'd my e-mail to Marcia Dowell to their staff. Other than that, my only other contact has been via e-mail with WTVW, WFIE, and WEHT (a previous employer of mine) to ask the stations' news departments to consider covering the issue.

It is not my intention to get on television or the radio or in the newspaper for this story. However, as a WUEV alum, I'm happy to speak about my perspective on the issue if asked by members of the media.

While I appreciate your passion for the issue, please bear in mind that the only way we will be earn the respect of those on the opposite side of the fence is by being honest and forthright, yet tactful and respectful.

If you do not have FTP access, then you are not staff. If everyone who participated in and worked on bringing this issue to light claimed "staff" status, we would have roughly ten to twenty people posting under the same screen name.

Well, I'm not going to continue to engage in a back-and-forth with you here. If you'd like to explain what point I missed, my e-mail is listed in the roster.
