I remember that cartoon, too! The station took a lot of heat from the administration for being vocal about the tower being airbrushed out of every publication.
I keep hearing there are no academic ties...career services has no academic ties...students at WUEV should recieve credit for working there. they recieve experience in speaking and writing skills; research; management; working with emerging technologies, etc...last time I read the description of a liberal arts based education...these were the selling points

It's hard to believe it's been six years since that comic first appeared.
For what it's worth, nothing has changed. Go to evansville.edu and click on any link. You'll see a picture of Olmstead Hall sans tower.

For clarification you should click on any link in the "About UE" category to see Olmstead's finest attribute (aside from the snack machines next to the first floor men's room) airbrushed out.

I was just looking at UE's website. The station tower isn't missing, it's right there.

actually i thought i saw the tower for the first time in a picture that was on the cover of the latest alumni mag...i thought "wow, they're finally lighting up"...then pow, they seek to sell...
